Best feather tattoo EVER!

Well helloooo. Wanna increase views to your blog? label a post with "Feather Tattoo"..

So firstly, why the crud am I writing here after i've said that I would no longer be here doing exactly that. You see while I am fully aware that I have way more web presence than necessary, I am still on this journey figuring out what works best for me, so to try and make it more clear, if anyone cares, its like this...

this is a blog. I write and post crap that I might care about and you more than likely don't.
www.richphipson.com, my tumblr is more of a recent portfolio place. (without the crap that you probably dont care about)
facebook is for even more crap that has nothing to do with you
and instagram is a visual diary of stuff that i think youll find interesting.
oh.. twitter is basically just my instagram links..
also. this blog still gets way too many views so i might as well write something for people to look at.

If you got here by searching for 'Feather Tattoo' (which is 80%) of the people that come here. I only have 1 picture of a little 'feather tattoo'. If you got here my searching for 'Jesus tattoo' I only have one of those too, and hes got awesome lazer beams shooting out his eyes, so probably not what you were looking for.

im not even gonna go back and read what ive just written, here are some pictures from the last two months..

Nkosi Sikelel

Tomorrow we leave for Kamberg pretty excited about disappearing further down the Jackal hole for a few days. When I get back I'll be doing a couple more tattoos before leaving SA, for now here's something of what I've been up to the past week.

portraits of egyptian snakes

Did this Egypt lady goddess chick trying to fly, standing would probably be a good start
Today I had this portrait which i dont really get to do much of so it's always fun and uses a whole different part of the brain to tattoo, 2 hours and not a drop of blood, pretty stoked.
After turning down a couple of appointments Ian casually strolled into the shop unaware of his perfect timing. I was bidding my farewells to my client and was more than happy to oblige him, especially when i heard the words, "little cobra tattoo." so we banged this dude out. yes.

All Seeing Owl VS Blou Lion of Judaaah!

Hello fellow Inter-weba-lebers! Firstly thankyou for visiting my blog, I never say thanks, but it's cos I don't think anyone actually reads this, but then when i see my stats im like, "eff"!
Special thanks to the lands of Northern America and Australia, where i seem to recieve a whole wod of support. If you guys wanna get tattooed by me, the awesome Rossel and I will be traveling to SA in Jan and Aus in March, for some convention time. I know still a while till then but hey.

Today the electricity was out at work because we pretty much dont care about anything except tattooing... hence anything that actually has to do with business gets done last minute.. this sucks when you have to get them to come put the electricity back on.. sigh, irrisponsible us.
Anyway, that meant no work for me today, but i get to come home and do some design work that ive been putting off for a while now.

Also in unrelated news, my wife and I start tracking next week for our album, so that's gonna be a whole lota funness... aaaand back to tattoos, here's two for you.

fARTHK

Went to the ARTHK event last week. Was pretty mayhem, waaaay too much to look at that's for sure. Left with a bit of a headache.

It was awesome to see so many pieces that I had seen loads of times spread thru out the interwebs in person. It's kinda like tattoos, they always look better in real life, photos never do them justice. here are some pics of some of the art. Highlight for sure was getting to meet James Jean.

There's also quite a bit of stuff happening this friday with
and some other going ons that i'm too lazy to link too.
see you there!
